Gender Equality Plan 2026–2029
Gender Equality Plan 2026–2029
1. Introduction and Commitment
European Health Institute Association (EHI) is committed to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and supportive working environment that values diversity and promotes equal opportunities for all staff, members, and stakeholders, regardless of gender or other characteristics.
This Gender Equality Plan (GEP) has been developed in alignment with:
• European Commission Horizon Europe eligibility criteria and guidance on Gender Equality Plans [1][2]
• European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) GEAR toolkit recommendations [3]
• Bulgarian national equality legislation and the National Plan for Equality between Women and Men 2021–2027[4]
• Best practices from Bulgarian research and innovation organizations [5]
EHI recognizes that advancing gender equality is both a strategic priority and an ethical obligation. This GEP demonstrates our commitment to supporting gender balance, inclusive organizational culture, and gender-sensitive innovation across our consortium projects, cluster membership, and governance structures [1][2].
This plan will guide EHI’s gender equality activities from 2026 to 2029 and will be reviewed and updated every three years.
